Not too much to report on this week. We were able to meet with Sherry once this week. We brought a sister from the ward with us and they got along really well. We didn’t really get to talk about what we wanted to talk about because they hit it off so well, but that’s alright :). We are meeting with her again tonight so hopefully that’ll all go well.
We were able to teach Johnny the Restoration this week but the lesson did go so well. haha. I don’t think we prepared well enough. He is willing to read the Book of Mormon and wants to see if we can help him quit smoking. Johnny is the man. We helped him make some chili that was really good. We’re gonna invite him to the ward chili cook off on April 11.
We were able to see Mary again this week. We went over to her house to help install a curtain rod. She was really grateful. We said a prayer with her at the end and she seemed to have really felt something after it. We will be going back on Wednesday for a "make it or break it" lesson. Basically if she doesn’t seem willing to keep commitments after this visit we’ll have to stop visiting her. I hate dropping people. haha. It’s lame.
This past week I’ve been trying to rely on the Spirit and God’s help more than on myself. So often I worry about what I’m gonna say when I come across someone or when they open the door, or in a lesson I worry so much about what I’m gonna say. I think I’m slowly starting to get the hang of not worrying about it and just trusting the Lord. So far, contacting people has gone much better. It really is a hard thing to learn and it takes so much practice. Unfortunately for me it’s seemed to have taken about 18 months. haha. Anyway, I hope you all have a great week. Love you all!
