Elder Nathan Steed: Email received April 13, 2015

Hello everyone!

First of all, congrats to Chelsea and Brian for the new born!! Paxton, huh? That's a sweet name. Woo! So exciting. Well, this has been quite a busy week. I am now in a new area. My area is (drum roll) College Station! I'm covering the Traditions YSA ward and most of our finding is spent on the Texas A&M campus. It's so awesome! We are also covering the College Station 2nd ward since so many missionaries have gone home. We will be plenty busy. The weirdest part of all is that I was called to be a zone leader. Eh. Not too sure about that but I'll just do my best. I was never even a District Leader. Maybe President's revelation machine is broken. haha.

Well, we had 11 lessons this past week. Obviously there's no way I can talk about each person and all the stuff that went down. We have one investigator, Naveen, that has a baptismal date for the 24th. We just have to teach him all the commandments and what not. He is awesome.

So for finding we go to the campus and just talk to everyone. The institute building is right off campus so we talk to people about activities, institute, church, whatever! I was pretty nervous the first time going finding on campus. College kids? I figured they'd be the last people to give missionaries the time of day. Well, surprisingly, lots of people listen to us. It's really fun! Things will slow down here in the next few weeks because the semester is ending but it still should be pretty hoppin.

My new companion is Elder Schinn. He's been out 1 transfer longer than me. He's Korean and he's awesome! We have pretty similar sense of humor. I just look at him and start busting up! He's also a great teacher. I'm really excited for this transfer. Well, I gotta run. I love you all and hope you have a great week!
