I hope you all enjoyed conference! I know I did. However, my bum is a little sore from sitting ALL weekend. It's amazing the gift we have to be able to have the servants of our Heavenly Father speak to us. I am grateful for them and all that they do for us. I could feel, as I'm sure you could, a confirmation that they are indeed called of God and are faithfully doing His work.
We weren't able to meet with Ayad this week. His wife has been really sick and he has been taking care of the kids. I'm really looking forward to our next meeting with him. Yesterday we were able to see Alan again. He's been doing good but has been out of town. We were able to talk about moving on from trials and setbacks. He lost his wife not too long ago and it has taken a huge toll on him. However, we've been able to see the change in him over the past couple weeks. Although it's still unbelievably hard for him, you can see a change. We weren't able to share the message we had planned or get him closer to baptism, but we shared what he needed to hear. It was a really powerful experience.
That's about all that happened this week, the rest of the week was pretty uneventful. But that's ok because conference totally made up for that! Well, sorry for the weenie letter this week. I hope you all know that I love and miss you. Have a great week! GO DODGERS!
